In 2018, HeartLands Conservancy became the steward of Poag Sand Prairie after the property was purchased by The Nature Conservancy. According to HeartLands, the 10-acre site and the adjacent properties are part of a geologic gem right here in Southwestern Illinois... and we couldn't agree more.
