Pickleball is a sport not too unlike tennis that is played on a badminton-sized court with paddles and a plastic ball. Pickleball can be enjoyed regardless of age or skill level and is currently exploding in growth and popularity nationwide. And the Metro-East is no exception, with many pickleball courts seemingly appearing overnight as existing tennis courts are repurposed for pickleball and new pickleball courts are constructed at public parks and recreation centers across the region.

Pickleball Court locations in St. Clair County include Moody Park (Fairview Heights), Hesse Park (O’Fallon), and South Park (Marissa). Available locations in Madison County include Wilson Park (Granite City), Drost Park (Maryville), Plummer Family Sports Park (Edwardsville), Kutter Park (Wood River Township), and Gordon F.
